Photo Challenge for December 3rd: Texture.

Laurie made these amazing "Magic bars" for Kayla's Welcome Back to America Party :D She said it's a graham cracker crust with layers of dark chocolate, coconut, and butterscotch, all topped off with a candied pecan topping. THEY TASTE LIKE HEAVEN. I totally shouldn't've eaten any because of the high sugar and dairy content, but I totally did, and I do not regret it. And check out that texture, ah? PRETTY GOOD, HUH.

Like I mentioned, we celebrated Kayla's return from South Korea (or "The Good Korea," as my husband jokes). A delicious dinner, fun games, and asking Kayla lots of questions - she was over there for a year, teaching English, so it was really cool hearing about her experiences. And it was also cute because I could hear a bit of a Korean-accent-type lilt in her voice.. I don't really know how else to describe it. But it was cute. It was great to see her.

Before the party, Josh helped David out with a video shoot for his website, Beladonis Magazine. Josh said that it went really well and he enjoyed getting to help David. :) While Josh was out being a legit videographer for the afternoon, I hung out with Emily at Starbucks for a few hours. It was a lot of fun! I really enjoy getting to sit and chat with her.. we always have a lot to talk about :)

I promise we're still going to do our juice f(e)ast. We've set the date for Monday. I'll keep you all updated.

G'night!
