Goals

The purpose of this blog is to:

Be a Creative Outlet. I don't have any delusions of grandeur - I know that most of the pictures are of average quality. But I enjoy getting to express my thoughts and visually document each day

Keep a Record of the Daily Goings-Ons. I'm excited to look back in a year, or ten years, or even a few months, and say, "Oh, yeah, I'd forgotten about that day!" I'm toying with the idea of making a photo book for my coffee table when this blog is finished! :)

Learn About My Camera. In late 2010, I received a fancy new camera and I was overwhelmed. I had a very basic understanding of how cameras work, but I repeatedly found myself frustrated. Using the camera every day is forcing me to learn my way around the controls in a variety of environments. My hope is that when all is said and done, I'll be better equipped to take great pictures whenever I want.

Share With Friends and Family. I'm a hopeless introvert, so anything that kickstarts a conversation when I see my friends is a plus in my book! I love hearing, "I was reading your blog the other day, and..." (cue dialogue).  I like to think that those who know me enjoy hearing about the things going on in Josh's and my life :)

Practice Discipline. I have started way too many projects without completing them. The simple fact that I have to post every single day keeps me in line. It's teaching me that I am capable of being disciplined and (slightly) organized.

Learn About Myself. This wasn't an original intention, but I've learned a lot about myself through this experience. It's been a very personal process, it's helped me better define some of my dreams (i.e. I don't want to be a "professional" photographer haha).
