Barry and his Elizabethtown.
Ok, these are both "oh crap I need to take a picture of something" pictures. But I like the composition on both for different reasons, so I couldn't decide which to put up :P

Tonight was game night :) A bunch of people were over! We played The Game of Things... so fun. In addition to the "regulars," (all of whom I love, btw.. I know someone will give me a hard time about that if I don't make this clear :P) it was cool to get to hang out with Bethany R and Isaac! And even Bethany D and Abby came too! Yeah, tonight was fun. Everyone sort of filtered out as the night went on, but Abby was the last person to leave and we spent about a half hour watching funny youtube videos making fun of Anakin Skywalker and Bella Swan :P Hlarious - have fun with those links. PEACEOUT.

Our finished pieces! And my silly daddy :)
TODAY WAS AWESOME. Mommy and I got our lovely painted pottery back and they both look awesome, I must say :)
We ate lunch with Mom, Dad, and Alex at this delicious Greek Cuisine place in Mt Juliet, over by Essex and Pump It Up... SO GOOD. Great prices.. Really nice people.. Delicious food. I'd recommend it!

Alex being hipster kitteh.
Then we went to see The King's Speech with them. Yes, that was the second time this week that Josh and I went to see it... It is seriously good!

Josh and his 'yarmulke.'
We had a great time hanging out and being silly with my family today. I love getting to spend time with them! :D

Beautiful Ladies!
Today was so fun! Emily's best friend Mical is in town this weekend, so us girls went to lunch while the boys had their halo time :P Qdoba was delicious, and the conversation was good :) It was neat getting to know Mical. Then we went back to my house and played Just Dance for a while :) Then Loaded Questions, and then a bajillion episodes of Boy Meets World.. which I never watched growing up, but it's hilarious. I love it.

I feel like the days when we hang out with people are the days that my posts are the shortest. Mostly because by the end of the hang out time, I'm usually pretty tired... And today, for some reason, I got tired even earlier than usual, haha. So, sorry about that! Man I'm going to bed. G'night, my faithful few :)

Isn't he the cutest?
Today was the 6th anniversary of the night Josh and I met! :) :) He was so cute and dorky that night :P I remember driving home listening to the "33 Reasons I'll Never Be Popular" CD he gave me and laughing a lot and thinking that he was someone I wanted to get to know because we had similar humor. Good thing, too ;) What a good six years it's been! A lot has happened.. A lot. I don't really know how to articulate it. But I'm thankful every day that Josh and I were such good friends before we started dating.. I'm thankful that we stayed friends even during the times things were rough. (Even after we weren't really talking, go figure.) I admire Josh so much for loving me even when I was a silly fickle teenage girl with commitment issues who hurt him. I'm glad he stuck with me, because I came around ;) I'm so thankful for our history. It's made our relationship so much deeper than it would have been otherwise. *grin*

Ok, sorry for being so mushy, haha. I'm just so happy that Josh is my friend :) My best friend!

Our favorite two player game, Rack-O
We'd planned on going on a little date and hang out all day to celebrate, but I was feeling kinda blah today, so Josh hung out at the house with me pretty much all day :) He surprised me with flowers and chocolate to make me feel better :P He also went and got Panera for dinner and we ate a picnic in the living room with our good friend Ryan Adams playing in the background. Then Rack-O, our favorite :)

Good day :)

Just to give you an idea of why making it to wave 205 in Sketchy Tower Defense is such a big deal, the previous record in the Taylor household was like 140. I couldn't believe it..

And this is Josh's face upon learning that Jeff Fisher is leaving the Titans. He's always been a Fisher fan, so, kinda sad. :(

Other than that... today was pretty uneventful. We're about to watch The Office. :) Happy Thursday, peeps.

This is the god of all taco salads.
We made the most delicious taco salad for dinner tonight. Oh my goodness, it was heavenly. Definitely adding that to the regular meal rotation. And super easy, too! Obvs. Josh just kept going on and on and on about how good it was, haha. He even told me I'm his hero. The man loves his taco salads!

This evening we went to the Musgrove's to watch American Idol and resist the temptation of brownie a la modes. I had fun! I haven't watched Idol in years but it was kinda cool seeing the new judges :P Steven Tyler is kind of a creep, haha, but I can't help but like him. That's the man who helped bring Liv Tyler into existence! She's beautiful. But anyway, time at the Musgrove house is always nice :) We're going to try to go over there more often... they only like five minutes away, so we really have no excuse for why we're not over there more often!

Mmk, I got up early this morning... bed time.

On my door this morning
I woke up this morning and my husband was not there :/ he had to go to his family's to work on a drawing with his dad. But I found the above note on the door! Josh sure knows how to make me smile :) I spent all day looking forward to this evening and our date <3

Joy Rolls, our favorite :)
So I got dressed up and Josh took me to Fulin's, as promised. I know that Fulin's isn't the best asian cuisine restaurant, and everyone tells me that we should try PF Chang's, but Fulin's has such sentimental value for us.. We've had so many good dates there. And the food is always really good too, so. No complaints! :D

Rain / a good movie / an attractive man.
The King's Speech was wonderful. Like, really good. I'd recommend it to anyone! It was visually interesting and beautiful, the characters were easy to sympathize with (which surprised both Josh and I... I mean, come on, it's a movie about British royalty.. how frigid and boring can you get?), and it was based on a true story.. which is always a nice bonus. Go see it, or rent it when it comes out. It's worth your money, in my opinion!

Also we got one of these :p
So yeah, today was a great day. I love my husband! I'm grateful that going on dates is important to him, too, and that he enjoys coming up with creative ways to surprise me. What a sweet man :)

My first ever attempt at Banana Bread!
Oh my gosh, it's 2:00 in the morning. Sorry this is so late! We had friends over and we reminisced about high school and lost track of time. Today was good - made yummy banana bread, got to play fishbowl, and then had the previously mentioned pow wow. Good times.

Bed time.

"Fearfully and Wonderfully Made" (turquoise and yellow)
Mom and Daughter Day! :D :D Today was so much fun. We had lunch at Panera,  followed by several hours of creativity and fun at Fired Up in Providence. We quickly realized that we were going to be there forever because we're both perfectionists when it comes to artsy things, haha. And we were.. I think we painted for like three and a half hours before we were finished. Next time we'll be a little simpler in our designs! :P Such a blast :D I love my Mommy.

The inside of my yellow and purple bowl :)

Sorry about the semi-poor quality of the pictures--I took my old camera with me because my new one is too bulky to just carry around with me (and too valuable to maybe accidentally get paint on!). The pieces will be ready in a week, so I'll take some awesome pictures of the finished products then :) I can't wait to see them!

Saturday, January 22, 2011

We did a few different things today that I could have taken pictures of, but the truth is, I wasn't thinking about it :P So you get a poorly-composed picture of my dinner... which was delicious, I might add.

Abercrombie & Fitch is literally the worst store ever. Josh and I each received a $50 gift card to A&F for Christmas, so we went today to see if we could find anything... Just. Kind of a frustrating experience. But I got two sweaters out of it without paying anything, so there's a plus I guess. We didn't end up spending it all but I doubt we'll be going back any time soon. Shrug.

Also noteworthy, we watched The Game this evening... a very strange movie. I could've been cool with it but it just kept getting more and more ridiculous which made it difficult to stay emotionally involved. I don't know. By the end, it was like, "Wait, this is the twist? This has been the twist the whole time. Who cares."

Despite my complaining though, today was a really nice Saturday. Josh and I always enjoy hanging out together :)
Mmk. Goodnight, internets.

I was promised Beauty and the Beast, and I got this.
Today, we were supposed to drive up to Murray State University to see Rebekah Davis as Belle in Beauty and the Beast. A bunch of us were supposed to go, and we were going to carpool... But the stupid snow that came a couple days ago ruined that... Basically we came to a consensus that while the roads were ok to drive on for the way there, we'd have to be driving back late tonight. and it's supposed to be snowing there this evening. So... that was a huge disappointment. I'm really bummed.

So instead of driving to Kentucky, I took a nap. When I woke up, Josh asked me if I'd play Halo with him, hahaha... so I obliged. We set up a custom game with his siblings, and while I got destroyed, I actually killed Jordan one time = sweet.  I suck at that game. Like so much it's not even fun for me. But I think it makes Josh's day if I'll play a round or two with him every once in a while.. He's nice and lets me try to figure out the controls without killing me like he easily could :P

Anyway, so. Still really bummed about missing Rebekah's performance. I have no doubt that she did a kick-butt job as Belle. Man, I can't believe I'm missing it :( Sad. But I did enjoy bumming around with Josh, so not a total loss of a day :P

"Don't smile. And pretend I actually want to take this picture."
Tonight was fun. Panera/games with Joe+Anna and Barry+Emily. :) We just got home... It's 12:40.. I'm going to bed. (Oh and it snowed today too, so that was cool.)

Wednesday, January 19, 2011

little red teapot and royal raspberry tea, mm-mm-mm!
Woke up this morning at 5, which is coincidentally the same number of hours I slept. So tired. Work was pretty good today--I like the people I work with :) After work, Josh and I went to Doc White for another chiropractor visit. Pretty good! I was better than last week, but we're still working through some stuff. My neck feels better than it's felt in a long time. Seriously! So the next appt is in two weeks :)

It turns out that Josh's computer is fried :/ So he's going to use his dad's laptop until Josh finds a good deal on a new PC for his Coral drawings. Hopefully the transition will be a smooth one and the laptop will be a good temporary replacement.

So I've been playing this video game on the XBox called Braid, and it's fascinating (and incredibly difficult!). The music and graphics are beautiful, and I've really enjoyed it. It's got artistic callbacks to Mario games and stuff (which, uh, I didn't grow up on.. but Josh tells me they were well done :P) So anyway, if any of you XBox'ers enjoy puzzle games and beauty, I'd recommend it :)

Alright, I'm going to go hang out with my husband. See you cats tomorrow.

Tuesday, January 18, 2011

Taken on the way home from the Taylor's house this evening.

Josh's work computer is messed up :/ So... looks like we're going to have to buy a new one this weekend.

I have to be at work at 6 tomorrow morning = boring night for Kelli and Josh. BLEH.

Oh, I keep forgetting to mention that the blog has already gotten over than a thousand views! Sweet.

Monday, January 17, 2011

Happy Birthday, Momma Laurie! Doesn't she look great for 50?? She's in better shape than I am, haha. That's not a joke.

We all went to Cracker Barrel to celebrate her b-day - enjoyed yummy country food and laughs all around. It was a good time :) Then we went back to the house for her to open her presents and eat the most delicious cake that Amy made.. I don't remember what kind it was, some sort of tropical pineapple something. Delicious!

Also, this fat cat is Miracle: We call her "Puppy."

Literally nothing happened today. So here's a picture of our fridge. Peace!

Today was a fail on my part when it comes to documenting what happened. Seriously, my entire family was available to come over for lunch, it was my little brother's last day of break, and my Dad played Just Dance to Ke$ha. And I didn't think to take a photo. FAIL. I suppose I was enjoying their company so much that the time flew by and they had to leave before I knew it. :( Alex got to hang out a little longer than everyone else though! That was nice :) I don't get to see my family super often anymore, so it was seriously wonderful.

Then this evening, Barry and Emily came over, bearing a new game: This vs That. I thought it was really fun! I think the guys weren't thrilled with it, but I mean. *shrug* Emily and I liked it. I think the consensus was that it'll be more fun with more people. We also watched Scott Pilgrim vs the World <3 Today was a good day!

Friday, January 14, 2011

Josh loves his smoothies.

Today was a date day for us. Usually we try to go on a date every fifteenth (it was the date he asked me out AND the date he proposed) but we're going to hang out with my family tomorrow evening, so we went a day early :) Fulin's was a ton of fun, as usual! Josh is so good at making me laugh and feel special. <3

The rest of the day was spent hanging out and enjoying each other's company. It was just nice :)

Thursday, January 13, 2011

Oh my gah, look at how pale we are. But pretty!

I'm really distracted right now because Jordan started doing his 365 video for today at the same time I sat down to write my blog. He's hilarious.

TODAY though, Josh and I went on a hot date with Jen <3 We saw True Grit, then went to Starbucks, and then came back to our house for some really good conversation. We love Jen! She had to go to dinner with her family, but the time we had with her this afternoon was lovely. She's a dear friend.

Then Jordan, Amy, and Liz came over and we played Just Dance for a really long time. And like I said, Jordan is working on his video so I can't focus on this anymore, he's making me laugh too hard hahaha.

Isn't our collection of games impressive?? I love it.

Six o'clock in the morning is not a happy time of day. It is a grumpy time of day. Thankfully, we were slow at work and I had a headache, so Hannah let me go home at eleven, haha. Not even worth complaining about! :p The upside to being up so early was that the snow was beautiful this morning. And time always goes by pretty quickly when you're up that early anyway, so.

This evening, we headed over to Doc White's house for my first chiropractic adjustment... Oh my goodness, I can tell this is going to be a good thing. My neck is kinda sore from where he was adjusting it, but my back feels really good and my headache is gone! Turns out I've got some mineral and essential oil deficiencies. He could tell all of this using reflexology. Amazing! And he was such a kind man. Both Josh and I really liked him. I've got my second appointment next week.

And that's pretty much it for me today. I've been given orders to either stand up or lay in bed for the rest of the night... No "sloppy couches" and not too much sitting. Thus the early blog... So I'm gonna go lay down and take it easy til I fall asleep :) Happy Wednesday.

Tuesday, January 11, 2011

Josh has been talking about The Social Network coming out on Blu-Ray for a loooong time.. He was so excited that he drove to Wal Mart at 7:30 this morning, in the cold, to buy it. I know, he's crazy. But he loves that movie, and we watched it today.

Today's picture was almost just a picture of me looking frustrated, taken with photobooth. I thought I'd killed the CF card for the camera. Y'know, sometimes I feel like I don't really deserve such a nice camera if I don't know what I'm doing with the equipment, right? WHATEVER Josh helped me figure out. Turns out the files on the card got corrupted = all the pictures are gone. And the files got corrupted because one of the USB ports on my mac finally decided to go glitchy on me. AGH. I'm just not going to use that USB port anymore. So anyway, Josh was very patient with me and figured out what had happened, while I got really upset about the incident. And he even helped by posing for a new picture for today's post - y'all were going to get a picture of leftover stew, haha. I suppose it could have been worse.. I could've had a masterpiece on the card to post.

Man, I have to work at six tomorrow morning. What a nightmare.

Monday, January 10, 2011

The Macdonalds came over for Just Dance and Loaded Questions and it was FUN :) This picture makes me laugh... Josh's head poking over Emily's shoulder is classic.

Also, IT SNOWED! No, I didn't go play in it. I'm boring and get cold super easily, so I stayed inside and enjoyed the view from the window :P Yeah, I took this from the back door haha. And I made veggie stew for dinner! I was in a "warm your insides" mood. It turned out better than I expected :) Not as good as it woulda been if there was meat in it, but you know ;) you do the best you can.

Sunday, January 9, 2011

Tonight we dated the double with my youngest brother, Joshie, and his girlfriend Hannah. They're a cute couple, are they not?! We had breakfast for dinner :D waffles = <3 and then we went and saw Tron: Legacy. The movie was a lot better than Josh and I expected it to be! Haha, compared to the first twenty minutes of the old one.... Gold. Here's one more picture of Joshie and Hannah so we can all marvel in the attractiveness:

I've got a terrible headache, so I'm going to bed. I would've already been in bed if the uploader hadn't decided to take ten times longer than it usually does... so g'night.

Saturday, January 8, 2011

Today was such a good chill day! It was our first day since we got back that we didn't ave to do anything with anyone, and it was refreshing. We stayed home all day (except for a Panera lunch date) and played video games almost the whole time. Just Dance destroyed our shoulders, then we tried to watch the original Tron............ we didn't get very far, haha. Sorry Barry :P Now Josh is playing Alan Wake (thus the picture) while I watch and help him out with clues and spotting bad guys :) I really enjoy days when we spend the whole time being silly together. Josh makes me laugh more than anyone! I'm so happy. So yes, joshandkellionlyday was a great success! ;)

Friday, January 7, 2011

We got Just Dance for the Wii yesterday, so I spent a good amount of today playing that. What a workout! But it's so fun... We went over to the Musgroves this afternoon and danced a few rounds with them... Good times.

This evening, Josh got to host the Evening Blend for what will probably end up being his last time. Jared, Barry, and Emily came out to be on the air with him :) It was fun! Josh is a good DJ... people always enjoyed his show. And when they call in, he's so good at making them feel special and not just like another person on the phone.

After The Evening Blend, Josh and I went to the Taylor's for a late dinner and to give Jordan his surprise/late Christmas present :) Josh and one of Jordy's friends went halfsies and bought him an XBox 360 and Halo:Reach so they could all play online. He was so excited! It was fun.

Tomorrow is a joshandkellionly day! :):)

Thursday, January 6, 2011

What a good day! I woke up to flowers and a very sweet card :) and Josh made me breakfast too.. What a wonderful man I married. He takes good care of me!

This evening, we went to Barry and Emily's for some dinner, good conversation, The Office season 1, and Phase 10. We love them! You can't really tell in the picture, but Josh is holding up the scoresheet from Phase 10... he was very proud of his 160 point victory ;) They're currently repainting most of their house, and so far it looks awesome! Check out their red accent wall in the kitchen / entryway:

So cute. Sorry it took me so long to post tonight. We didn't get home til about twenty minutes ago, and for some reason, the pictures took a long time to upload this evening? So there you have it: Day 006, here and gone.

Wednesday, January 5, 2011

Best waffles ever. And the easiest, too. SO YUMMY ♥ Thanks to Calista for the basic recipe and Alex for the waffle maker!

Now let me tell you one of the many reasons Josh is the best husband in the world: while we were in Florida, I missed out on a girl's night with my good friends from high school and I was pretty bummed about it. So Josh knows this, and he decides to contact the girls behind my back about coming over and surprising me with an evening of hang out time. So they all came over tonight and it was LOVELY! I hadn't seen some of them since the wedding, and I hadn't spent time with any of them without Josh yet, so tonight was the first true "girl time" I've had in months! He cleaned the house for me, then they came over this evening and he went upstairs to work while we enjoyed ourselves. Seriously, I felt so special and loved. And Josh is a sweetheart for orchestrating it for me. ♥ Unfortunately I didn't think to take a picture while they were all here :/ But it's ok because I got to be with my girlfriends. Such special friends ♥

So yeah, today was wonderful. I'm incredibly blessed with both wonderful friends AND a sweet, thoughtful husband who understands and accepts me for me :D :D I'm elated!

Tuesday, January 4, 2011

Isn't my husband handsome? :) I really like this picture.

On Thursday, David Smith is leaving for "the good Korea" (as Josh calls it), so we went bowling with him this morning! Well, Josh, Jordan, and Amy bowled. I slept in and then met them at the alley for the last couple of their games. Then the crew came over for lunch We'll miss you, David! We hope you'll have a blast and that you'll enjoy getting to be with your sweet Kayla again :)

THEN this evening we went over to my family's house :D :D :D :D :D I missed my family a lot. It'd been toooooo long wince I'd seen them, and it was weird celebrating Christmas away from them. It was so good to hug my Momma and Daddy and Joshie. Alex is out of town :( so I'll have to wait til next week to hug him. But it was definitely great to see them! Momma got us these super cute kitchen brushes, and I adore them:

So cute! I haven't decided what to call them yet. If you get struck with a name for either of these little guys, leave me a comment with your suggestion(s). Alrighty, goodnight, internet.

Monday, January 3, 2011

Typical game night.

It is so nice to be home. Getting to shop for our own food, be in our own house, and entertain our own friends... Let me tell you, it feels good to be in control of my own destiny. :P

We played Things tonight! Now we've got something other than Loaded Questions to play (but I think Loaded Questions will always be the classic favorite...) It was a good night. A great story time and getting to see our good friends = win.

Amy and Jordan say Hi!

Sunday, January 2, 2011

We're finally home!! It's really cold up here. But it's home!

The trip back took about sixteen hours. I was asleep for at least half of those, but the awake hours were really fun. Us kids were in the back being goofy and laughing it up :) I like my family-in-law.

Goodnight, all; take a moment to appreciate your own bed this evening. I most definitely will!
