Tonight was a girl's night with Anna and Emily! While our significant others hung out and played Monopoly at Jared's house, haha. Us girls enjoyed dinner at Panera, then crossed the street and painted pottery at Fired Up. <3 It's been almost 2 months since the last time I went, and I missed it, haha. I can't show my creation because it's a gift and I don't want the receiver to see it and ruin their surprise! But I'm thrilled with how it turned out... and (as always) I can't wait to see it next week after it's been glazed and fired. Emily's was also a gift, so I won't say anything about it, except to say it's CUTE :) and Anna's multi-colored mug was also adorable! I had a really good time.

Isn't the decor fun? I love it.

Alright, I'm still trying to get myself feeling better, so I'm going to bed. Two pounds and a deuce.

[edit] DUUUUDE. Remember the post I put up about the camera bag and the contest from the Digital Photography School blog? I just found out that I TOTALLY WON IT :D :D :D :D :D :D I'm thrilled. I've never won any contests like that before. I'm so excited. :D So now dPS is sending me the bag from Australia. Pretty. Pumped. Thank you http://www.digital-photography-school.com/  ♥

Today was kinda just a day. I didn't get much done. I'm so tired of working so hard to be well... But it always gets worse before it gets better. And I'm totally in the middle of the "getting worse" phase. BLAH. But enough complaining! At least I have a wonderful husband who loves me, lets me cry on his shoulder, and encourages me when I feel hopeless.

Now Josh is playing Halo with Jordan and Barry. I like listening to them give each other a hard time :P

G'night, peeps.

I love this picture. Carl brought flowers for Amy and Jordan - the reasons are kind of complicated, but I thought it was genius (and sweet!). Just like this picture of the three of them.

Tonight was Steve Carell's last episode of The Office! So the faithful rallied together for one last (?) The Office Party. That was the group's reaction to Michael Scott's finale:

It was a good party. Yummy quesadillas, unicycles, old friends we hadn't seen in years, and The Office made it so.

See you cats tomorrow ;)

This evening, Cali and Nyk had us and the MacDonalds over for dinner and games... and it was SO FUN! Those two can cook. Dinner was delicious. And I'm pretty sure Emily and I both were envying their awesome kitchen the whole evening. :P In addition to dinner, Nyk and Cali taught us how to play Killer Uno AND introduced us to Demitri Martin, and we liked both of those a lot. We also played Argue, and that was a lot of fun too :) Yeah, I had a great time tonight. Thanks, Nyk and Cali!

Ok I'm tired. Goodnight.

I played around with the settings within my camera again today, and I got this shot - I didn't edit it other than to turn the contrast down juuust a smidge. And I'm pleased with how it turned out!

Josh took me out to Fulin's tonight! :D I love date nights. Josh is truly my very best friend, and we have such fun! Two of my favorite quotes sum it up perfectly:
"...there is no jovial companionship equal to that where the jokes are rather small and laughter abundant." -Washington Irving
Love is best sustained "when lovers love many things together, and not only each other." -Walter Lippman.
These have always reminded me of Josh. I can't even remember where I originally found either of them, but they're perfect. ♥

Now we're watching The Voice. This one guy just said that he quit drinking and doing drugs because he had 4 little girls and he didn't want them to grow up to marry guys like that.. so he turned into the kind of man he wants his little girls to marry. I think that's so admirable! Poor guy didn't get picked. But I definitely respect the guy!

Anyway, it's been a really good day. And it's nice to just settle down and watch some TV at the end of it... Though Josh isn't so sure about The Voice, haha. We'll see!

Josh took this picture :) I had once again waited until the very last minute and I started to complain about it, and Josh took the matter into his own hands! And he delivered this gem. Can you tell that the man is proud of his record collection? ;)

Game night was FUN tonight... We broke out Loaded Questions for the first time in a long time, and it was hilarious. But I'm tired now and I don't feel like typing any more haha. G'night!

Happy Easter, everybody! We celebrated by going to church with my family, followed by a delicious lasagna lunch (salad with salmon for me - Josh is sitting in my seat for the photo)! Then we hung out for a while - watched a documentary about Pixar, and then Cars since neither Josh nor I had ever seen it. It was cute! Better than I expected, honestly. It was a good time with my family :) I love getting to see them.

After that, we went to the Taylor's for an Easter dinner (Mrs Laurie made me SHRIMP yummm). We goofed off and had a good time. Then Josh and Jordan did today's Insanity workout, which left them looking like this:

Unfortunately I didn't catch them before they had wiped their faces.. But you can still tell that they've been sweating like crazy!

This morning at church, we sang a cool song that went like this:

He's not a baby in a manger anymore
He's not a broken man on a cross
He didn't stay in the grave
And He's not staying in heaven forever - He's alive!

I loved that and I wanted to share it :)

Mmk, I'm going to bed. Happy Easter!

I didn't take any pictures today until ten minutes ago. I'm getting lazy and unmotivated in my hundreds!

Today mark's a week without sugar for me (added/refined sugar, that is) and I'm telling you, I'm feelin' the withdrawals. I'm ashamed that I ever let it get so bad that I needed to quite cold turkey again. But you know! Easter candy happens :P I'm so weak-willed when it comes to Whopper's Robin Eggs! Regardless of my previous candy-related indiscretions, I'm proud of myself for cutting it out so successfully this week. Also, meat - I'd been eating too much chicken and my poor body just isn't cut out for that anymore.

Josh and Jordan finished their video today! Here it is, completed:

Hilarious, isn't it?! They're so weird and funny. I love it. I'm going to have that song stuck in my head for ages, though. It's pretty much all Josh has played this whole week, ha ha ha.

Shortly after the video was put up, John and Katie stopped by for a few minutes! It's always cool seeing them. We talked about bikes and coffee and exercising and internet things... We like them a lot!

Twilight Zone is now on Netflix to watch instantly = freaking awesome. I've watched at least four episodes today! Not a bad way to spend a Saturday ;)

We hung out at the Taylor's all day, working on the parody video that Josh and Jordan are doing together. They finished the audio this morning, then the rest of the day was devoted to taking care of the video part. Now Josh is editing it! Getting it all onto the computer and into the right editing program has been quite a frustrating experience.. but I think Josh has it all figured out now. It'll probably be finalized sometime tomorrow, and I have no idea when it'll go up? But I'll post it here when it does :)

Nothing else really to report! I'm going to sleep early tonight, dude.

P.S. Here's the completed video they were working on!

AWH look at Leeland. She's so cute - those sad eyes are adorable. She's a good dog.

I started Monica's Story last night and I'm almost halfway done already, haha. It's fascinating to hear about Monica Lewinsky's childhood and the mindset that lead into her White House internship where she met President Clinton, which obviously led to their affair. It's interesting!

I have been so lethargic today. I slept in much later than I have in probably a month... Honestly I feel like my body's trying to fight something off. My throat's been feeling funny too, so, I guess I just need the rest!

We're at The Taylor's house now. Mrs Laurie made a delicious dinner, and I welcomed the chill time. Just sitting on the couch and watching TV :) It's nice! Josh and Jordan are working on another parody video, hahaha... It's already hilarious!

Also, check this music grid thing out. I couldn't tear myself away... So cool!

Those who've hung out with me regularly since I started this daily blog know that I get so stinking tired of carrying around my camera bag. Not only is it bulky and fugly, it's honestly a smidge bigger than what I need (which makes organizing my equipment tricky - if everything's too loose, it's not being protected as well as I'd like). The bag actually came with the camera - one of the many cheap accessories to sweeten the deal on eBay - and it's not something I would have ever picked out for myself. Every time we leave the house, I struggle with whether I really want to deal with the awkwardness. So when I'm already carrying my purse, a light sweater, and whatever random stuff I may need to bring along with me, the thought of that extra growth on my hip is a turn-off.

I would love a new bag.

So when I saw that Digital Photography School is giving away one of Think Tank Photo's brand new messenger-style camera bags, I got really excited. That bag went to the top of my wish list. It's called the Retrospective 5 and here it is in all it's awesomeness:

I want it.

I guess it's time for me to start saving money. Or maybe Josh'll give it to me for our anniversary ;p OR MAYBE I'll win it in the drawing that DPS is doing. We'll see! Either way, both those websites are worth checking out if you're into photography. :)

Today was another productive day for me - I finished reorganizing the kitchen cabinets, caught up on laundry, and EVEN exercised with Josh a little! And this evening we enjoyed ourselves some Survivor and some ANTM. So it's been a good day! But I know that this post is already super long and impersonal, so I'll end on that note. Hope everyone has a great rest of the week!

P.S. I won this bag! And, since this blog was linked on a popular photography website's blogpost, I got a ton of views from strangers. Usually the majority of my views come from friends.

Pictured: pants-wetting excitement

Here's the story: Josh has been craving Painturo's since I can remember, but he's also been trying to stay away from anything that remotely resembles a pizza. He thought about it so much, it drove him to tears it was all he talked about at dinnertime. So we worked out this plan: he would keep eating really healthy and working out every day until he reached a certain weight goal, and when he reached that goal, we'd go to Painturo's. Well, he was doing great and he was losing weight at a very steady pace - he got within 3lbs of his goal! But then he started doing the Insanity workouts, which has caused him to gain some weight in the form of sexy abs of stee--I mean, muscle *cough* Since Josh has been doing GREAT with the Insanity program,  I agreed to go on a date with him today :) We even had a gift card from Christmas! Free food ftw! So Josh finally got his delicious Calzone (he earned it!) and I ate an incredible Caesar Salad and we had a nice little date ♥

Afterward, we went and saw The Conspirator (we were the youngest in the theater by at least a decade, probably more). It was so good! Josh loves everything Abraham Lincoln-related, so he was thrilled with the factual accuracy. He's still doing some research, but after the initial viewing, he gives it a thumbs-up, an ear-to-ear grin, and a passionate review that lasted the whole way home ;)

I have to confess that I was a little emotional at certain points today... and I'm only admitting this on the internet so that I can praise my sweet husband for his grace and patience. He keeps his cool when I am being overly sensitive and irritable. That is commendable! I don't know what I would do without him. I get overwhelmed with gratitude just thinking about his kindness and love for me. Thanks Josh :) I'll love you forever.

Three of our little eggs on the inside of our front-door wreath have hatched! And they're ADORABLE.  I don't know what kind of bird they are? Maybe they're robins? All I know is that I hope they survive.

Today was so productive for me. Nothing particularly interesting, I was more just motivated than usual to get stuff done - I think that since I was immobilized over the weekend and didn't get anything done at allll, it just felt good getting to move around and do stuff.

So yeah that's pretty much it. Oh'p, I made a ballin' dinner out of stuff that I just had in the pantry and it felt good to make a yummy dinner without working from a recipe. Chicken Alfredo! Yummy yummy. GOODNIGHT

We had lunch with my family this afternoon at the Greek Cuisine place in Mt Juliet and it was delicious as always! We finished the entire plate for the first time today - partially because there were six of us instead of the usual five. Hannah tagged along this week! It was a good time.

Dude so apparently last night at work, Alex blacked out, fell, and hit his head. SCARY - silly boy hadn't eaten enough and was also dehydrated. So Publix called an ambulance and everything but my parents ended up taking him to the Summit Emergency Room instead. I don't know how long they stayed, but they were there for a long time. They all looked so tired at lunch. I'm glad Alex is OK! All he has to show for it is a bump on the back of his head and hopefully he learned his lesson.

I'm still not feeling great today. I slept a LOT and that helped a little with the headache, but I woke up and felt stiff all over, still have slight headache, and I'm feeling super lethargic. Maybe I got too much sleep, maybe I still haven't recovered from Prom, I don't know... I just know that I don't really want to do anything today, haha.

Hey, Jordan just got here! He's picking up a video game. I'm gonna hang out with them now.

Oh my gosh I have the worst headache today. I'm going to hand the reigns over to Josh now because he does whatever I tell him to do. I am a hard taskmaster HIYAH! (That was the sound of me yelling as I crack my whip over his little head. That's what happened to his glasses.)

Josh: Sup fools! Well first off, it's Record Store Day. So I went to The Great Escape in Madison this morning and waited a few minutes in a short line. Turns out they had the Ryan Adams seven inch I was hoping they would. AND it also turns out that I made a good call by deciding not to hit up Grimey's (apparently the line stretched around the outside of the store 3 hours before they opened. Are you kidding me? So dumb.)

Came home and did INSANITY. It's rough, but I'm getting better with it. And I can definitely feel it working. So, there's that. You just sweat so much man. If I can ever completely do the whole thing along with the guy on the DVD without having to take a break... hahahahaha... oh, I mean, yeah I'll be really impressed with myself...

So anyways, I played some kickball today with the MacDonalds, Snyder boys, Wanners, Bicans, Jefner, Abby, Derek etc. Kelli was going to come but we did prom until late into the night last night, so Kelli woke up this morning not feeling great. The woman just needs her sleep, preferably starting before 2:30 in the morning. :/ So bless her sweet little heart, she just took it easy today. I turned some Adventures in Odyssey on for her, and went on my way.

Anyways, kickball was balling. Abby and I had a small collision at home plate that I'm not exactly sure what happened, but somehow my glasses ended up on the ground, in two pieces. THE REAL EXPLANATION FOR THE ABOVE PICTURE. Neither of us were hurt at all. We just collided and then my glasses = teh deadz. Abby felt horrible, but honestly I've been needing a new prescription and new frames anyway. So it all worked out. Jefner and the girls went and got some tape from the MacDonalds' house and fixed 'em temporarily for me. At least long enough so I could drive home. THANKS LADIES.

So eventually I came home and made salmon and potatoes for Kelli and myself.

Okay man well, I'm working on only like 5 hours or sleep. Late night prom and early morning Record Store Day will do that to a fella. I'm gonna play some video games or something, and then go to sleep. Catch you guys on the flip-flop LATER.

Aren't David and Bethany adorable? I had a lot of trouble deciding which picture to use, because there were a bunch of really cute ones... but they were all so alike in composition that it wouldn't be worth it to post more than one. Eventually I settled on this one because they both look so happy. They're beautiful! Bethany's Senior Recitation was this afternoon. She is so talented - Josh and I both really enjoyed getting to hear her poems. She did really well!

This evening, Josh DJ'd for the NLA Prom. Thats why I'm just now updating - SORRY. It was really fun! But yeah - it's past my bedtime, so I'm going to SLEEP. Goodnight everyone!

P.S. Those Lomax kids have some maajor dancing genes in them. They're supa' fun to watch!

Evan and Judy are masters at anything Hip-Hop, especially "The Reject" - it's freakin' sweet. And Abby has always been a great dancer (although I'm sure she'll be mad at me for posting this picture of her... I think it looks cool though :P)

The other pictures I got tonight will go up on facebook eventually. :)

Ok seriously now. I'm so tired. Goodnight! For real!

We got this letter in the mail today from our sponsored child, Meskerem. She's 11 years old and from Ethiopia, and she's adorable. We have a picture of her somewhere, but I think it got lost in the move. It's probably upstairs in the mess-of-an-extra-room, hiding in an "important papers" file. Ha. But she is so sweet! I enjoyed writing her back, and I'm really excited about getting another letter from her - NOT GONNA LIE.

Today was nice and chill :) Prom tomorrow!

Three Things:

  • I watched an entire disc of Chuck Season 2 today. I wanted to keep watching, but I decided that 3 hours straight was enough for now... Love that show. Borderline obsessed, even.
  • We had chicken quesadillas for dinner - they were SO YUMMY and super easy. Definitely adding that one to the dinner rotation! (made with veggie cheese and avocado for me)
  • Josh finished up his first week of Insanity today. I'm so proud of him.. it's really intense, and he can already tell a difference. Heck, I can already tell a difference in him! His abs and arms are definitely benefitting ;)

We went to Gabby's for lunch again today! The man in the middle there is Doug, who owns Gabby's. His slogan is "Living the Dream" and he's such a friendly guy! I like this picture.

It was, of course, DELICIOUS. This time I got just a regular burger instead of the veggie burger (I know, how bold of me) and yeah - It sounds silly, but you can really tell the difference between a grass fed burger and a corn fed burger. I really liked it! Obviously I won't get that every time. That'll have to be a special occasions option for me and my mostly-vegetarian tummy :P

Jen came along with us this week! Not to leave the boys out or anything (but that's totally what i'm doing), don't Emily and Jen both look gorgeous in this picture? The sun is doing wonders for us ladies, I tell ya ;)

I'm posting so early this afternoon because we're going to head over to the Taylor's as soon as Josh is finished with today's work. We're doing our taxes super last-minute (the deadline is Friday!) and Mr. Ray is going to help out since Josh has to do his a specific way, since he's technically self-emplyed and other stuff I'm not 100% clear on? haha. So that'll be fun! At least I'll get to hang out with my other family :) I know I say this all the time, but I really love my family in law!

So I hope everyone's having a good Wednesday! Enjoy your Wednesday night activities :)

We went to the Musgrove's tonight! :D :D :D :D It was REALLY FUN... For the first time, Caiden seemed to really like both Josh and me. All night, he was running up and grabbing one of our hands and asking us to come play with him. He's adorable! And sooo full of energy - very rambunctious, just like a little boy should be :) It was a blast.

We also played Just Dance with Katie and Hannah, and the Stone-Hall's showed up and we got to hang out with everyone. It was really nice!

At one point during the evening, all of us adults were chatting in the living room and Caiden wanted me to come play with him in the kitchen. I wanted to stay in the living room so I tried to get him to sit with me instead. He got upset because I wouldn't go with him, so his Daddy was telling him to let me stay where I was. Josh jokingly turned to me and said, "You broke his heart!" So Caiden started crying and went to his Aunt Katie for comfort and he cried, "Her broke my heart!" as he pointed at me! I felt bad for upsetting him, but it was hilarious! A little bit later, we were solving puzzles together and he was telling me again that "you broke mine heart." I apologized and asked him if he would still be my friend, and he grinned up at me and said, "YES" - it was adorable. I want a little boy :P

Silly Caiden! We were having fun. At one point there was a rubber ball underneath his shirt which made it look like the Cookie Monster on his shirt was pregnant (and it was adorable) but none of those pictures really turned out because I had the shutter speed too fast (and it made the pictures wayy too dark.. I tried brightening them but they ended up too noisy). Maybe I'll keep playing with them and upload them to facebook sometime this week.

All in all, it was a really fun time - we really enjoyed hanging out with the Musgrove family and getting to play with Caiden! We love you guys :)

This afternoon during the brief period that it stopped raining, my sweet husband rode his bicycle to Wal Mart and picked up my favorite candy (Robin Eggs) for me ♥

I like this picture because of it's depth! And if you look reeeeeally closely, you can see the upside-down reflections of Josh in the water droplets... kinda cool! But I wish I had played with it a little more. I wish I'd gotten closer and experimented with the angles, I don't know. I like the result, but I only snapped a total of ten pictures today, all of them similar to this. So even though I got a picture I'm happy with, I want to seek different ways of presenting each subject. :) So there's just a glimpse into my mind for you guys.

If you haven't heard the song that Jordan and Josh worked on this past weekend, check it out. It's pretty hilarious.

Friends are coming over in about an hour for dinner and games! :D

Holy cow are we having another tornado?? The second Monday in a row; that's ridiculous.

I made it! I'm in the triple digits now! I'm pretty proud of myself. :) I've already learned a lot about my camera and understanding my personal style, and I feel like the quality of my photos are steadily improving. And I've still got the rest of the year to keep it up! I'm pretty excited about that :)

I wasn't feeling very well when I woke up, so I took a major chill day and didn't get out of the house. [Here's where I apologize to Jordan Taylor and David Hale for skipping out on their promised visits. I'm sorry, guys!] But Josh did keep the plans we'd made, so at least I don't have to feel bad about making him miss out too. He's actually at the DANYA show right now, and he keeps texting me to tell me how "catchy and hott" they are, haha. That man has a way with his words.

I just finished watching a documentary about the links between nutrition and cancer, called The Beautiful Truth. While I admit that the documenter's style is a bit amateur (and kinda cheesy), the facts are thoroughly laid out. And geez - it's sobering! Here's the trailer if anyone's interested:

If that intrigues you and you have Netflix, it's available to Watch Instantly - I recommend  you do that! Especially for those of you who have seen and appreciated Food, Inc (If you haven't, DO IT I'm serious. It's also available on Netflix through instant streaming. Everybody needs to watch that one!)

Needless to say, I'm feeling convicted in my eating habits. Haha! I'll have to sit Josh down soon and watch The Beautiful Truth with him. If we're being honest, he's the more motivated of the two of us, so I'll need his help haha. And we'll see where it goes from there! I'll let y'all know how it works out.

GOODNIGHT, FRIENDS :D

P.S. for those of you without Netflix, I'm pretty sure that both films are on YouTube as well!

I like this picture because it reminds me of my b&w 35mm photo printing days. I'm telling you, that class is the best thing that happened to me in my time at Lipscomb. My freshman year was one of more difficult and one of the most lonely years of my life, but at least I had a respite from everything in that dark room. And I really want to learn more about film photography. I loved developing and printing my own photos.

Anyway, this picture is the second one this week that's reminded me of that class. I think that being reminded of that class is ultimately what will get me to go back to school, haha. So I can take more film  photog classes!

Alright, I'm tired. Goodnight, everyone! :)

Jordan came over this afternoon so he could play Runescape in our water closet. He says that being isolated from the real world helps him get into the right mindset, and that our house is the best place for him to be inspired to collect those runes. I'm just kidding! He and Josh have been working on a ridiculous 365 video today, and part of it required that he hang out in the closet to cut down on background noise. It's gonna be hilarious. They're working on it now and it's cracking me up.

Eric showed up for a couple hours to deliver some sweet vinyl that we bought from him, and to catch up. Two birds with one stone. It was really good to see Eric.. I really admire him and the path he's chosen for himself. He's got a heart for God, and it's obvious! Towards the end of the hang out, he and Jordan discussed going out into the woods and hardcore camping. What good friends they are.. don't get to see each other too often, but they've been buds for forever and it's evident.

I was in a cooking mood today - I grilled chicken strips and made mashed carrots/potatoes for dinner, and they turned out really well! I was pretty pleased with them. So the boys got to eat something other than salmon or pizza and I felt good about that, haha.

That's about it. Hope everyone's having a great day! :)

P.S. The weather was incredible today. We opened all the windows and kept the air off and it was awesome. ♥

Edit - here's the video/song they were working on in these pictures: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ie52iSG9yJ0

Josh got his Insanity workout videos today and he is PUMPED. It came with a nutrition booklet and instructions, so that's helpful! It's only like half an hour a day for the first month. Josh is really excited. He's trying to get me to do it with him. I don't think that's going to happen :P But I'm really proud of him! He's lost almost 20 pounds this year, and now that's he's in weight zone that he wants to be in, he's getting into shape. He's much more disciplined than I am :P Oh and Momma Laurie, he wants me to let you know that he's been eating more than usual lately, and he's still losing weight at a very slow, steady pace :).

Oh geez the Office starts in one minute. Can't miss Will Ferrell's grand entrance! *Oops, never mind. That's next week.

Oh, hey - NLA PROM is next Friday! We met with Mrs. Connee today to get the list of approved songs and talk logistics and stuff :) We're excited! For those who don't know yet, Josh is DJ'ing. It's gonna be a lot of fun. :D

I experienced Gabby's for the first time today for lunch. Oh. My. Goodness. It was delicious... Everything was delicious. And it's such a cool place because everything is "homemade" and local and grass fed. Seriously, check out the link above - their website is awesome and it's got a ton of character, just like the restaurant. We went with Barry and Emily, which was cool because everyone there knew them! And despite being very busy, the workers knew the MacD's orders off the top of their heads. The owner, Doug, started making Emily's veggie burger way before we were even at the front of the line. It's just the kind of down-to-earth, homey place that makes you feel good about supporting it, haha. And I'm pretty sure that he named the place after his daughter, and all the burgers after his family members - adorable. We'll definitely be going back. :) Thanks, Barry and Emily! P.S. Gabby's desserts are heavenly too...

Unfortunately, I got hit with a migraine mid-lunch, so I've spent the day in bed with the covers over my head, listening to Adventures in Odyssey, and that's helped a little :P I promise the headache had nothing to do with the food! You should still put Gabby's on your list of places to visit! I went to bed last night feeling like I might get a headache today, and around the time we sat down to eat, I started seeing 'static lines,' which always means I'm about to get a bad headache. And on the way home, I did :/

That's part of why I'm posting so early - I don't want to have to stay up to post my blog later this evening if my head is still bothering me. Plus Josh left on his bike to run some errands, and I don't want to accidentally fall asleep in case he tries to call me!

Again, I really encourage you to check out Gabby's website (I even linked it for you again!) and then when you're totally awed by the story and the mindset of the place, try to make it over there for lunch sometime! You won't regret it. :)

Tuesday.

Josh almost lost all the work he'd done today - he was really frustrated, and I felt bad :/ thankfully, he got about 3/4 of what he'd already done back! Almost a big deal EESH.

My mom stopped by this afternoon with a gift for me :D She'd seen this cute purple shirt at Wal Mart and thought of me! She's so sweet. Pray for my momma, though - she's worn out in a million different ways. I hate seeing her worn down like that. It makes me feel so helpless. But I sure love her, and I think she's great! She's definitely a trooper :)

This evening we went to the Taylor's house for a little birthday dinner for Anna Deakins, WHO DIDN'T EVEN SHOW because she wasn't feeling well :/ But it was still a pretty good time - Emily MacD showed up, and I enjoyed hanging out with her! :)

I took these two in the Taylor's backyard. I am sooooooo excited about the high-in-the-low-seventies forecast for tomorrow, oh my gosh <3

094

Our Internet is out because of the weather, we're guessing. So I'm updating this from Jen's phone THANKS JEN. I'll put up pictures from today once our Internet kicks back in! The storm today was crazy. But it was fun hiding in the closet. :P Anyways, goodnight!

EDIT (2:00pm, next day):
I know this isn't the most interesting photo I've ever taken. But it's the only one from day 094, haha.

We have internet now :) So here's yesterday's photo. It was a pretty exciting day! Mrs. Lisa Patton on News Channel 2 guided us through the storm like the pro she is. So, it was a pretty exciting day with multiple touch-down tornadoes in our area - but geez that storm moved quick! I think from the time we realized there was going to be a bad storm, til the time we were safe was only a little over an hour.

By the evening, all threat of bad weather was gone, so everyone came over for game night, which turned into sit-around-and-talk-and-goof-off-night :) It was sort of refreshing and definitely fun. I like having people over! So it was a good, chill end to an exciting day.

I played around a little with the monochromatic (black and white) setting on my camera today. I was trying to get a picture of the sunset, but these bees were zipping around our back porch and Josh wanted me to get a picture of one. I did, mostly to humor him, thinking I wouldn't really get a good shot, haha. But I somehow managed to get that zippy bee in focus - beast. And I like this because it reminds me of a 35mm photograph! :)

Besides, who wants to see another picture of a sunset, especially in black and white?

lol @ Barry in the background.
Isn't she so pretty? :) I'm not really sure what Barry's doing back there, but it sure ain't tennis :P

Today was a good Saturday - we dropped by the Rushton's yard sale (we were almost too late!), where we discussed getting together so Emily can teach us the art of healthy Sweet CeCe's, and Josh picked up a couple of CDs for $1.50 - not a bad deal! Then we went back home for lunch, and Josh beat Red Dead Redemption while I read my Shirley Temple book (loving it).

This afternoon we met up with Emily and Barry for some informal tennis! I didn't really want to play tennis this morning, but I went because Josh was pumped about it and I wanted to hang out with the MacDonalds. So I sucked it up and ended up having more fun at the tennis courts than I expected :) (also it helped that I took a few photography breaks, hehe) After tennis we were all famished, so we went out to eat at O'Charley's, followed by chill time at the MacDonald's. It was good to get to hang out with them. We haven't gotten to do that much this week, so today was a win! :D

And now I'm exhausted. See you all tomorrow. *hugs all around*

091

Okay, okay. We played an April Fool's joke that kind of got out of hand. But by the time it was too late, it was kind of too funny to stop. So I'll put the record straight:

No, I am not pregnant.

I would like to point out that I merely stated the truth:

I was tricky in my wording, that's true. I was originally just going to say, "I am not pregnant" and leave it at that, but at the last minute it struck me that it could be funny to make the wording more mysterious. If I had thought about it for two minutes, I probably would have stuck to the original plan, haha. I honestly thought that only a few people would be fooled, and mostly everyone else would see the wording and think, "Oh I see what she did there - clever," and move on. I realize now that I should have expected the reaction we got.

Dude but soooooo many people texted us today, both to congratulate and to ask us if it was real haha. My own mother even called me! I was like, "Are you serious? You really think I would tell people on facebook in this way WITHOUT telling my own family first?" Haha. Hilarious. But I'm sorry to everyone who got their hopes up and then crushed, and I'm sorry if you're mad at me for pulling your leg! You have to admit that it was kinda well done though :P

We definitely learned today that when we are going to have a baby, we will be surrounded by a LOT of really excited people :D :D And that day will be awesome! But just so everyone knows, we're not going to be trying that for a few years. Not only do we want to have some time to enjoy each other and figure out life a little more before we're responsible for a new life, but I'm still working on getting my body back to 100% healthy :)

Alright, now that that's out of the way, doesn't today's picture remind you a little of this guy"I have the death sentence on twelve systems!" Funny!

Happy April Fool's Day, folks :)
